interactive story hour at The Family Vision Library

“Mark your calendars for a story hour event you won’t want to miss! Author and homeschooling mom of five Renee Emerson will be reading portions of her novel, Why Silas Miller Must Learn to Ride a Bike, and has an amazing line-up of fun activities! Kids will participate in book-related exercises including: map-making, group story-telling, creating characters, learning about the elements of story, and how to become an author.

This event is free, but registration is required by April 3rd. Click HERE to reserve your spot!”

Local friends, I’ll be reading at The Family Vision Library April 10th (see above for details, and link to sign up).

Since my novel is written for 8-10 year olds, I am planning an activity-based, kid-centered reading–feel free to bring along younger siblings (I plan to have all my kids tag along too). This is a little different from my usual reading as a poet, but my book is for quite a different audience. I’m hoping this will be a fun event for all the kids, and for me too!
