Renee Emerson

I obviously chose to review this book (from Blogging for Books) for the awesome illustrations!  But overall, I found the girls enjoyed it. It is a collection of biographies on women in science (I think I’ll write a mini-collection of poems on each of these women at some point…a second reason for requesting this book). My girls are a little young to totally appreciate it, but I think it will be a fun reference book when they are older–it could help them to read the couple page biographies in choosing a more lengthy biography to study. Overall, I’d recommend this book for a home library, especially if you have a girl who is interested in the sciences.
