little lives

. . .  even in the sorrows and tragedies of our lives, even in the heat of God’s anger and our distress–we are charged to remember. The realization of our life’s breathlessness is the key to moving into something greater than ourselves, moving into what’s beyond knowledge . . . In bringing our words to life on the page, we begin to create, cultivate, and realize the time and space we occupy. We live little lives, and there is nothing wrong with that.
